Graffiti Removal at Fletcher Canyon with Friends of Nevada Wilderness

Join us on Saturday, May 14 at Fletcher Canyon for a Spring clean-up event! We hope you can join us for a hike deep into the canyon to remove graffiti.
The hike is a moderate to strenuous hike along a moderate incline, leading to a steeper section before ending in a beautiful canyon with some rock scrambling and difficult portions. The hike is about 4 miles round-trip. We may encounter ice and snow in the canyon!

Macks Canyon Cleanup with the 4×4 Community

Macks Canyon Mt Charleston, NV

Join us at Mack's Canyon on Saturday, May 21st from 9am-11am for a special volunteer cleanup off Mack's Canyon Rd. Volunteers with 4x4 vehicles will check in and receive supplies and tools to help us remove trash and debris from the popular camping and recreation area. Check-in is required at Mack's Canyon Rd turn off from Lee Canyon Rd/Hwy 156. Volunteer must have a 4x4 truck or car to participate, NO personal off road vehicles (ATVS, 4wheelers, quads, dirt bikes, etc) permitted for this event.

Graffiti Removal at Little Falls with Friends of Nevada Wilderness

Echo Trailhead Echo Trail, Mount Charleston, NV

The hike is a moderate to strenuous hike along an old road, avalanche chute, and narrow canyon, leading to a small spring and falls. The hike is about 3 miles round-trip. We may encounter ice and snow on the trail, even in May. We will meet at the Echo Trail Parking area at 7:45 am, then hike together and clear up graffiti along the way.

Cathedral Rock Graffiti Removal

Cathedral Rock Trailhead 1208 Cathedral Picnic Area, Mount Charleston, NV

Join us on Saturday, June 4 at Cathedral Rock for a late Spring clean-up event! We hope you can join us for a hike up Cathedral Rock to remove graffiti.
The hike is a moderate to strenuous hike along a fairly steep incline, leading to a steeper section before ending with beautiful views of the Spring Mountains. The hike is about 3 miles round-trip. We may encounter ice and snow on the trail, even in June.

Mt. Charleston Visitor Center Trails Cleanup for National Trails Day

Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway 2525 Kyle Canyon Rd, Mt Charleston, NV

Join us a on Saturday, June 4th from 9am-11am for a special volunteer celebration of National Trails Day at the Mt. Charleston Visitor Center. Volunteers will be removing trash and debris from the visitor center trails located just behind the site. Parking is available on site at 2525 Kyle Canyon Rd, Mt Charleston, 89124.
Registered volunteers will receive a meeting spot map and event details a few days before the event.
All ages are welcome, minors without an adult guardian present will need to bring a signed waiver. Waivers will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.

Our Public Lands Teacher Workshop Series: Lake Mead

Lake Mead National Recreation Area 10 Lakeshore Rd, Boulder City, NV

Join this one day workshop to learn how to set up and conduct a field trip to Lake Mead National Recreation Area. We'll cover logistics and standards based activities. This is a free course, and eligible teachers will receive 2 CU's.

Activities and lessons in this workshop are connected to 4th grade standards.

Our Public Lands Teacher Workshop Series: Corn Creek

Corn Creek Visitor's Center 16001 Corn Creek Rd, Las Vegas, NV

Join this one day workshop to learn how to set up and conduct a field trip to Desert National Wildlife Refuge. We'll cover logistics and standards based activities. This is a free course, and eligible teachers will receive 2 CU's.

Activities and lessons in this workshop are connected to 3rd through 5th grade standards.

Our Public Lands Teacher Workshop Series: Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center 1000 Scenic Loop Dr, Las Vegas, NV

Join this one day workshop to learn how to set up and conduct a field trip to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. We'll cover logistics and standards based activities. This is a free course, and eligible teachers will receive 2 CU's.

Activities and lessons in this workshop are connected to 6th through 12th grade standards.
