Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at the Native Habitat Planting Event on Saturday, March 11th from 9am-12pm. Get Outdoors Nevada and the City of Las Vegas are proud to create intentional spaces that serve as native habitat for pollinators and birds. The habitat includes many native flowers such as Firecracker Penstemon, Apricot Globemallow, and Desert Marigold among others. You can learn more about the Native Habitat project here.
Volunteers can look forward to helping with planting 1-gallon sized native plants, installing planting cages (we use chicken wire and ground staples),  and watering new vegetation. We will be meeting at the 1550 Wellness Wy, Las Vegas, NV 89106. Registered volunteers will receive a meeting spot map and event details a few days before the event. All ages are welcome, minors without an adult guardian present will need to bring a signed waiver. Waivers will be emailed to registrants prior to the event.

We will provide all the tools and supplies required for the event including gloves and trash grabbers. Please monitor your own health, if you are experiencing any symptoms of an illness or don’t feel well, we ask that you reschedule your volunteer shift with us. If you are feeling well and symptom free, wear closed toed shoes, bring plenty of drinking water for yourself.

We continue to make the safety of all our volunteers and staff members the number one priority. Get Outdoors Nevada staff is up to date on all recommended Covid-19 vaccinations. We will continue to follow local health data and support the recommendations of the state and city municipalities for safety protocols and guidelines.

We look forward to you joining us for a great morning beautifying our community spaces!
